In most instances off-road oversize treads get mounted on custom wheels. That usually means jacking the suspension up. The job may also demand that the tires be fastened to the wheels with screws so they can be run with very low tire pressures. By doing so they can hold the rim better while more efficiently grabbing sand or snow. Mounting the tires rightly in such manner and balancing them should be done by a professional who knows the drill. As well, please realize that if you increase the diameter of the tires, you change the distance the vehicle will go in one revolution of the wheels. If additional engine power is asked from your engine and transmission, modifications need done. Be aware, however, that modern engine and transmission control modules are interactively calibrated. Any doing of this modification may need competition chips installed to change engine timing, injection dwell, power output, and transmission shift points. By now you can easily see that making modifications to newer computerized vehicles can really get expensive and complicated.
