Anyone can recognize that all people who live upon earth exist as sinful beings stuck in a rough place. We spin through life stuck deep in the muck. Being eaten by worms or cooked in a smoky kiln is our fate. The only method for truly being rescued from this evil snake pit for now and always, is to accept the gift of salvation provided by the sacrifice of another. However you’ve got to know….in order to last the sacrifice must be eternal. As Christians we believe this eternal rescue comes through Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God. To save us, he climbed the dusty Mount of Transfiguration without horsepower. There our Lord was shown brightly to be the Deliverer sent by our Creator. Because of his later crucifixion on our behalf, we can now ask for and receive forgiveness from God. We gain eternal life. If you read the biblical book of Matthew you will find out some other real important things about Jesus. Take a Holy Bible with you into the boonies. If you get stuck out there you can put your feet up and read from the holy book while you’re waiting. You might learn a lot before a rescue guy like YouTube’s Matt can reach you. |
