our bellies and our pockets with the world’s riches. In a nose glued-to-the-exhaust manifold attitude, we ignore the Word of God given to us. If we successfully turn those nuts and bolts the world gives us, we may declare that we’ve done it all by ourselves. We get so busy patting ourselves on our back about our progress we are in danger of breaking our arm. All this because we refuse to realize both the arms we have and the tools we use are supplied by God. However, by falling for this demonic deception, we so often find we take up a worldly religion. For us it seems the place to be. We succeed in life and try to fit into the best job, the model family, and the right church, synagogue, mosque or chapel. We buy into twisted demonic world beliefs… just in order to maintain our accrued power and position. We may even claim that our belonging to that false temple shows how magnificent, wise and wealthy we have become.

Indeed, I say STOP! Look around. Each of us too easily motors toward being tempted to trade away our spiritual inheritance, just to enjoy temporal power and position in the arenas of government or business. We roll into the Satanic trap of making acquisitions and tout that our supposed financial stability is the most important item in our lives. However, by driving along such routes we can trade our salvation away just to gain worldly trinkets. We drive that hotrod Lincoln fast and think, “What can I gain, running a red light or two?”

Eventually however, our Creator takes hold of the wheel. This may appear as great personal loss in life or limb… even the death of ourselves or another person.

I say to you. “Instead of running red lights on the road of life, do as Jesus did. Refute and defeat evil by using

the Word of God as rightly revealed to us in scripture. Read it, consume it, and live by it. Join a Bible Study group that holds tightly to the principle of obtaining true directions for our lives… for within that gathering you should quickly find a guide that leads you correctly through the wilderness of this world.”

That is the lesson that I leave with you during the start of this Lenten season. For your own sake, hold on tightly to scripture rightly interpreted.

Driving Dry Places!

Now…, may the peace of God that surpasses all human understanding keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  AMEN!
