before us. There are the road signs… ten of them. But Jesus told someone that these ten mean that we are to love God, and love one another!”

 

Now, be honest…we know exactly what the word “sin” means…? It means that we are “missing the mark.” We know that none of us are perfect! We are trapped miserably, dying day by day torque in a screwed up society looking for a new world record in getting to be a basket case.

 Friends, if the person listening to your talking wants proof, just tell them to listen to the daily news on the television. The newscast steers right to the Truth that’s written in the Bible.

 You see, Jesus told his disciples, “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places: all this is but the beginning of the birth-pangs.”

  When we together witness the happenings in this fallen, sin afflicted world… we know that the road can develop even more potholes, and we aren’t going to see them fixed until we listen to what God has to tell us. We

are NOT perfect enough to get to heaven on our own, but thanks be to Jesus, we don’t have to be. We just need to realize that we’ve are convicted and are fast driven to seek Jesus as our Savior.

 

 Now, truly know that I believe this is the approach we need to use. We won’t get to be called truly

evangelical until we acknowledge own our sin laid out and witnessed by those whom we meet. Then we can begin the healing done by forgiveness.

 However, know this before you go running out to the local thrift store, grocery, laundromat, or fast-food restaurant…. if we do evangelism just for the sake of building up our home church attendance, we are indeed selfish and not treating people right. It is an evil idea to be using them for our own purposes. As Christians we need to do gospel proclmation for the sake of those to whom we speak. In this world being choked by the pollution of sin, it’s important that they may really know the love of God. To tell them of Jesus is a holy calling.
