It is so frightening that some sociologists warn us that we human beings soon will be outdated, just as ancient as an automobile’s floor mounted starter button. In that future vision, we shall also be stepped on.

Think of this… AI can control traffic lights in some places and can be programmed to prevent collisions. Yet, like human beings, every system can be turned to evil purposes. While my thoughts may border on undue paranoia, think about it. Can a traffic AI be programmed to cause collisions? If so, we humans can be replaced by artificial intelligence robotics. It is already a fact that a personal likeness can be replicated on a computer screen and our voice imitated. Malicious people using these AI attributes can work with this advanced technology to impersonate us. AI can cause our image to perform illegal activities and then make a call microseconds later to cause our arrest… or death. Experts say a computer program may only be a few lines of code from turning AI into a self-perpetuating, digital electronic god.

Having recently reviewed a presentation held at Hillsdale College on the topic, I saw all presenters give troublesome talks about dangerous advances in robotics, marketing, and population planning. The most frightening comment was a proven account of how a corporation’s communication platform artificially heavily influenced, at least temporarily, the voting results in our recent elections.

Indeed, AI influences range very wide, and many algorithms hold prejudice against Christian outreach. The more organized or focused a biblical religious expression, the more AI seems to tilt against its success. Big business seems to believe closely controlled religious

values will either inhibit or promote profits. Remember that the importance of aborting infant life in the public mind has historically paid the rent for many abortion facilities. Thus AI influences promoting abortion can certainly be counted as demonic. Chasing profit motives for corporations, governments and the military industrial complex… these powers can quickly evolve from being public servants into harsh puppet masters.

What is the Church to do? Must we retreat to the catacombs of history? Or can we be faithful to our calling? If we

choose this last option, what happens? If we examine the mainline Christian Church denominations now in America, those of us who drive over these twisting roads note some very sharp turns they’ve made. Demonic systems deliberately plotted for them some accepted, devilish routes.

Churches travel these bumpy roads regularly in attempts to provide sinful
